HP OfficeJet Pro 8210

I recently replaced my HP OfficeJet 6000 with a new HP OfficeJet Pro 8210.  I generally like the new printer and print quality, but I've noticed that the vibration from the printer causes the desk to shake while printing.  While it's not a major issue it is quite annoying and a big contrast to the older printer.  Can any user recommend a solution or a product that will isolate the vibration?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Are you sure the printer vibrates while printing?

This is unusual. The printer may make some noise while printing which is fine. But not to the extent to shake the desk.

 

Let us try these steps:

 

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Check for any plastics or packaging material inside the printer and remove the same.

Refer to the steps in this document.
