HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello, I'm hoping you can help me with my printer. I have used the virtual assistant to remove and reinstall my printer and the HP Smart app several times to no avail. I still can not print (it doesn't matter what it is: pdf, word, email, etc.). Could you please help me?

Hi @LarsenBooth ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 printer not printing on Windows 11. Here are some steps you can try:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer. If it's a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and the computer. If it's a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

Printer Status:

  • Check if there are any error messages or warning lights on the printer itself. This might provide information about what's causing the issue.

Printer Queue:

  • Open the print queue to check if there are any pending print jobs.
    • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog, type control printers, and press Enter.
    • Double-click on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 printer to open the print queue.
    • If there are any stuck print jobs, try canceling or removing them.

Restart Print Spooler:

  • Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • In the Services window, locate the "Print Spooler" service.
  • Right-click on "Print Spooler" and select "Restart."

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed.
    • Visit the HP official website, locate your printer model, and download the latest drivers for Windows 11.

Check Default Printer:

  • Confirm that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 is set as the default printer.
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners and make sure your HP printer is set as the default.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website. This tool can automatically diagnose and fix printing problems.

Firewall/Antivirus Software:

  • Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software to check if they are blocking the printing process. If printing works after disabling them, you may need to adjust the settings to allow printer communication.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall the HP Smart app, restart your computer, and then reinstall the latest version from the official HP website.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Sometimes, printer issues can be resolved by installing the latest updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
