My printer will not pass alignment always fails about half way though. All ink cartridges are all about 3/4 full. I went through the troubleshooting steps and the alignment printout is almost all blank. I recently replace the 3 color cartridges and the Magenta/Cyan printhead because I was not getting any blue or green colors. The print quality printout looks OK now after replacing the 3 colors and 1 printhead but keeps failing alignment and every time I try to print something it asks me to do the alignment first. For what I have replace I almost could have brought a new printer. So has anybody else have this same problem about alignment failure.

@Roger_C5, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Are you able to make standalone copies in black?
Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

I tried all theses steps Reset printer 2 times same results, the software and firmware where up to date. The paper is new inkjet paper fresh out of the box the same paper I have always used. Went through the troubleshooting steps no luck but the alignment printout was about 90% blank but the print quality report looks OK. Looks like I am going to have to take to a repair center which is about 30 miles away. Its not under warranty so is it alright to take it some place closer.
