Hi @samrex004 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the error you're describing on the HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 printer (all lights blinking with "E" on the display but no specific error code) is a generic indication of a hardware issue or a problem with the printer's components. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on to see if the error clears.
2. Check for Paper Jams
- Open all accessible panels and inspect for any paper stuck inside.
- Even a small piece of torn paper can cause such errors.
- Use a flashlight if needed to check thoroughly.
3. Inspect Ink Tanks
- Ensure all ink tanks are properly filled and seated correctly.
- If any tank is completely empty, refill it and reset the ink levels in the HP Smart app.
4. Check Printhead Alignment
- Open the printer and check if the printhead is stuck or improperly seated.
- Carefully move the printhead carriage to the center and ensure it's not obstructed.
5. Reset the Printer
- Press and hold the Power button and the Cancel button for 3-5 seconds.
- Release the buttons and wait for the printer to restart.
6. Inspect the Power Source
- Ensure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet, not through a power strip or surge protector, which can sometimes cause power fluctuations.
7. Firmware Update Update the firmware on an HP printer
- If you can connect the printer to your computer, check for firmware updates using the HP Smart app or the HP Support Assistant.
8. Perform a Hard Reset
- While the printer is on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
9. Check for Hardware Issues
- If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, there might be a hardware fault, such as a defective printhead or sensor. Contact HP Support for further diagnostics.
