Hi @Defender_007,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Deskjet 2710 All-In-One Printer is displaying a "Printer is busy" message when you're trying to print the Printer Status Report, it indicates that the printer is currently occupied with another task or process. Here's what you can do.

  • Wait and Retry: Sometimes, printers are momentarily busy due to ongoing processes. Wait for a few moments and then try printing the status report again.
  • Check for Errors: Ensure there are no error messages displayed on the printer's control panel. Clear any error messages if present, as they might be causing the printer to remain busy.
  • Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes clear any temporary issues that might be causing the printer to be busy.
  • Check Print Queue: If you've sent multiple print jobs to the printer, it might be busy processing them. Check the print queue on your computer and cancel any pending print jobs that are not necessary.
  • Update Printer Firmware/Software: Make sure your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated firmware or drivers can cause unexpected behavior.
  • Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, issues with the computer can affect the printer's functionality. Restart your computer and try printing the status report again.
  • Reset the Printer: As a last resort, you can try resetting the printer to its factory settings. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
