Hi @winforcy,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your printer is continually cancelling print jobs, this is often due to a driver issue, print queue corruption, or misconfigured settings. Here’s how to resolve it:
Steps to Fix Print Jobs Being Cancelled
1. Run HP Smart’s Diagnose & Fix Tool
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click “Printer Settings” > Diagnose & Fix.
- Let it scan and automatically resolve common issues like driver conflicts or queue errors
2. Perform a Root-Level Driver Reinstallation
This clears out any corrupted or conflicting drivers:
- Uninstall HP Software:
- Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program.
- Remove all HP printer-related software.
- Remove Printer from Devices:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Remove your HP printer.
- Clear Driver from Print Server:
- Press Windows + R, type printui.exe /s, and press Enter.
- Go to the Drivers tab, select your HP driver, and click Remove.
- Restart your PC.
- Reinstall using HP Smart:
- Download from HP Smart.
- Add your printer and follow the setup instructions
3. Check Printer Settings
- In the HP Smart app, go to Advanced Settings (opens the Embedded Web Server).
- Check for any settings under Job Retention, Timeouts, or Security that might be cancelling jobs automatically
✅ 4. Update Firmware
- From the HP Smart app or Embedded Web Server, check for and install any available firmware updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
