Hi @BSF2

If you’re receiving a "cartridge supply error" on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 despite changing the blue cartridge twice, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the cartridges you are using are compatible with your printer model. Verify that they are genuine HP cartridges or certified remanufactured ones.

Inspect the Cartridges:

  • Remove the blue cartridge and check for any protective tape or packaging that may still be on it.
  • Inspect the cartridge for any damage, such as cracks or missing parts.

Clean the Contacts:

  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to gently clean the copper contacts on the cartridge and the corresponding contacts inside the printer. Be careful not to touch the ink nozzles.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on to reset any potential error states.

Reinstall the Cartridges:

  • After cleaning, reinstall the blue cartridge securely. Make sure it clicks into place properly.

Print a Self-Test Page:

  • Try printing a self-test or configuration page to see if the printer recognizes the cartridges correctly. You can usually do this from the printer’s control panel under the settings menu.

Update Firmware:

  • Check for firmware updates for your printer through the HP Smart app or the HP website, as this can resolve compatibility issues.
  • Click here for more infiormation

Check for Obstructions:

  • Look for any paper jams or obstructions in the printer that might be affecting the cartridge recognition.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
