Printer cartridge wont click into place

The color ink cartridge clicks in fine. The black ink wont click into place so the message says insert print cartridges.  I tried 3 different cartridges none would click.  It even refused the color cartridge that clicks in fine when it is on the left (where it goes).  But wont go in on the right hand side (the black cartridge place)

Use a flashlight and check if the carriage is broken. If the cartridge cannot be installed, it could be a hardware issue.
