My printer stopped printing and a code that looks like a figure 8 with a check mark is flashing on the screen.  When I open the lid the cartridges do not move to the middle either.  What is my problem?

Hello,

The error code you have described seems to a printer hardware failure. However try the below steps..

1> While the printer is ON , open the cartridge door and check if there is a paper stuck in the printer, specially near the cartridge area.

2> Close the cartridge door, unplug the power cord from back of the printer while the printer is ON.

3> Power Off the Wireless Router.

4> Wait for 60 seconds.

5> Plug in the printer power cord to Wall Outlet and the other end to the printer.

6> Press the ON button to power on the printer.

7> If issue still persists, its time to go for a new printer.

Jabzi

Thank you for your response.   I found a paper jam in the backside of the roller. Cleared that.   But I noticed when you open the top the printer head does not move into the open access area.  Any ideas?   My daughter is working online from home for college with the virus.  If I have to order a new one hopefully I can get a version that takes the ink I just bought lol
