I tried installing non-HP print cartridges in my Office Jet Pro 8022e. I have removed the replacement catridges and now ordered HP cartridges. Meanwhile the print cartridge carried is stuck to the right of the printer and the following error message appears: 024A493F. The screen is blue. How do I resolve this?

Hi, I had the exact same issue, error code 024A493F on a brand new OfficeJet Pro 9022e, used only for 2 days, then it got stuck at this blue screen.

 

Upon trouble shooting with an HP agent, diconnecting power, waiting for 15 seconds, then re-powering was not enough.

I had to disconnect the power cord, then hold the ON/OFF button for 10 seconds with the power cord disconnected, then power it back on. And the error code was gone.

 

The agent was not sure about the reason, he said something about residual power being stuck (maybe because I use a UPS). Anyway, I can use my printer again !
