When I view printing the message "Printer needs attention" is displayed. I have tried reseting the spooler and that has sometimes helped. I can print fine from my Android - Samsung Galaxy S9.

Greetings!

Welcome to the HP Community. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries. I have reviewed your post and I understand, the printer printing from your phone but not from your computer.

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's try these steps -

Step 1 HP Print and Scan Doctor -

Click on this link to download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Step 2 Re-install the printer drivers -

1) In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
2) Look for HP Printer software.
3) Right-click to uninstall.
4) In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.
5) In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6) Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8) Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10) Select Ok.
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12) Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13) Restart the computer.
14) Download and install the software and drivers from here.

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.

That did not work. Printer shows that it is connected by Wi-Fi but whenever I try to print nothing happens. When I open "See what's printing" the box displays "Attention Required" and nothing prints.

Happy to hear back from you. Thanks for trying.

Please try updating the printer's firmware.

If the issue still persists, try using the HP Built-in drivers

Keep me posted.

Tried everything. Still does not print. Ran HP Print & Scan Doctor 5.1. All tests pass except Recommended Updates which always shows fixed but test page does not print. When I ask for an internal test page that prints.

Additional Information is that I do not have a color iink cartridge installed but that does not prevent printing from my Samsung phone.

I have spent many hours trying things to get it to print and it is now very frustrating.
