The black toner is full. One of the colour cartridges is empty. I get a continual error message "no toner/ink" even when I select to print in black and white. Have tried the HP Print and Scan Doctor which showed no errors. Does not print a test page.

Have restarted the PC. Still not working.

I am trying to print a colour PDF in black and white. 

This is driving me insane. Why will it not print with a single cartridge. 

Any advice gratefully received.

Hi,

You must replace any empty cartridge to resume printing.

Ink is required in all cartridges to print and to perform periodic servicing to prevent clogs and other print quality issues. There is no way to bypass this feature:

I don’t think I this is the case as I can print from my cellphone. 
it just won’t print from my PC.
