Hi @Dons9

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the printer is connected with a wired connection and appears to be installed, but it is not printing. Let's gather a few details so we can identify the cause accurately.

Could you please share:

  • The HP printer model number
  • The operating system on the computer (Windows or macOS)
  • Whether the printer can print an internal test page or configuration page directly from the printer control panel
  • Any error message shown on the printer display or on the computer
  • Whether the printer is connected via USB or Ethernet (network cable)
  • If documents stay in the print queue, disappear from the queue, or show an error

A few common checks for this situation include confirming the printer shows a Ready status, verifying the cable connection, and ensuring the correct HP printer driver is selected rather than a generic driver. These are commonly associated with printers that are detected but do not print.

Once you provide the printer model and operating system, I'll guide you with the most appropriate troubleshooting steps.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
