My HP Deskjet 2852e will not print. I have changed both inks and the color ink is still flashing like it needs ink but it's a new cartridge. In addition, the printer is saying it's offline. I've turned my computer on and off three times with no success.

@AMC61, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP DeskJet 2852e is showing a flashing color ink light and appears offline, even after replacing the cartridges and restarting your computer. Let’s walk through a few steps to get your printer back up and running:
Check the Ink Cartridge Installation
Even new cartridges can sometimes be improperly seated.
- Turn on the printer.
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove the color cartridge and inspect it for any protective tape make sure it’s fully removed.
- Reinsert the cartridge firmly until it clicks into place.
- Close the access door and check if the light stops flashing.
Resolve the “Printer Offline” Status
Check the connection:
- If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your PC.
- If using USB, try a different port or cable.
Set the printer as default:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your HP DeskJet 2852e and select Set as default printer.
Disable “Use Printer Offline”:
- Right-click the printer icon again.
- Click See what’s printing > Printer menu.
- Uncheck Use Printer Offline if selected.
Restart the Print Spooler (Windows)
- Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Restart.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
