I have been having a printing issue with my Officejet Pro 8600 for several days. I printed Saturday with no issues but since Sunday I keep getting errors that my docs were not accepted after spinning around for a while. The printer on my MAC was showing Idle. I was having these issue with my MacBook on wireless AND my iMac of a USB connection. After trying for hours, I wiped the printers from both computers and shut down. Today, Tuesday, I disconnect the USB cable for the iMAC, booted up the printer and my laptop. The laptop found the 8600, and I was able to print some work. I left them to have dinner. When I came back, again, nothing was printing. I was getting messages that the printer was busy or the document was not being accepted all while the printer was showing as idle. I removed the printer from System preferences and now I can't get the printer back on the system.
Any suggestions????
