Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-one printer series
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

At first I got a paper jam error. There is not a paper jam. I followed all the prompts to clear it and now it says Printer Failure: There is a problem with the printer or print system. Turn the printer OFF, then On. If you continue to get this message, contact HP. 0x610004a

Ive tried to all of this 15 times and still get same message.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document to resolve a paper jam issue in the printer. 

 

Also, perform the steps from this document to resolve printer failure error.

 

If you have already tried these steps and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
