Hi @tjdriver1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A "Printer Failure" error on your HP OfficeJet 7610 can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve it.
- Restart the Printer: Power off the printer, unplug it from the wall, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for Paper Jams: Open all accessible doors and trays to check for any paper jams or obstructions.
- Inspect Ink Cartridges: Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly seated. Check for any damage or leaks.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer and install them if necessary.
- Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset. This is usually done via the printer’s settings menu.
- Check Connections: Ensure all cables (power, USB) are securely connected. If you're using a network connection, ensure the printer is properly connected to your network.
- Diagnostic Tools: Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor (if available for your printer) to diagnose and troubleshoot common issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
