Hi @Munning,

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

Power Reset

  1. Turn off the printer while it’s ON (press the power button).

  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall and the printer.

  3. Wait for 60 seconds.

  4. Press and hold the power button on the printer for 15 seconds (discharges extra static).

  5. Plug it back in directly into the wall (not a surge protector).

  6. Turn the printer ON.
If that clears the error, yay! If not, let’s keep going.

Check for Ink Cartridge Issues

  1. Open the cartridge access door.

  2. Carefully remove all cartridges.

  3. Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer (use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water).

  4. Reinsert cartridges one by one—start with black.

  5. Close the door and check if the error returns.
If the error shows up after a particular cartridge, that one may be faulty.

Update Firmware

If the printer boots up:

  • Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer.

  • Or update via HP's Support site by entering your printer model.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved, and if you feel this reply was helpful, click “Yes”.
