Hi

The other day I glanced at my printer and saw an error screen... I didn't pay full attention and switched it off, intending to just switch it back on again. Unfortunately the printer won't turn back on properly - it gets stuck on the start up screen pictured but it never getting past two dots. There wasn't a power surge as far as I'm aware.

I've tried leaving it switched on overnight, and leaving it unplugged overnight. I can't do a hard reset as the carriage doesn't move (I've managed to get the colour one out but the black one is inaccessible).

Grateful of any suggestions to help,

Cheekycat

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that your printer display is stuck, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
