HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have an HP Envy 6055e that has been showing this error for a few days. I have reset and restarted the printer (including removing the ink, unplugging the power cord, holding the power button, waiting for a period of time, plugging everything back in, and putting the ink back in the printer). I have tried updating firmware, it is up to date.

I can get the printer to print alignment pages, and printer status report pages (both of which show that the printer is in good working order), but I cannot get it to print anything from my computer and I cannot get the error to clear. I have tried talking to the virtual assistant and that did not work either.

This has been a very frustrating, and time consuming process that makes me not want to purchase an HP product gain. Please help

@CA108, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check the Connection:

For Wi-Fi: Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your computer. You can print a Network Configuration Page from the printer to check this.

For USB: Make sure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port or cable.

Clear the Print Queue:

Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners on your computer.

Find your printer, click on it, and select Open Queue.

Cancel any stuck print jobs.

Check Printer Status:

In HP Smart App or Windows, make sure the printer is set to Online and not Offline.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, remove the printer.

Download and install the latest drivers from the HP website.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
