Hi everyone,
I just tried to turn on my printer and it came up with this error "Printhead Problem: There is a problem with the printhead. Event Code 62.80.03.
I cannot access the menu, nothing, when I turn the printer on it goes straight to this message and I cannot navigate anywhere else.
Please help!

Hi @Nglogowski,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 62.80.03 on HP printers typically indicates a printhead issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
Check the Printhead and Cartridges:
- Open the printer's access door to reach the printhead.
- Ensure the printhead and cartridges are correctly installed.
- Remove the cartridges and inspect them for any damage or ink leakage. Clean any ink residue with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinstall the cartridges firmly.
Printhead Cleaning:
- If your printer allows, perform a manual printhead cleaning. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to do this.
Reset the Printer:
- If you can access the printer settings, perform a factory reset. This option is usually found under the "Setup" or "Tools" menu.
Firmware Update:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP support website, download the latest firmware for your printer model, and follow the instructions for updating.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
