What a shocking story this is...

I won't bore you with how I got here after4 months of product failure. The summary is.

Printer head fails. Not printing Cyan.  Have to order new head. 4 months later it arrives. Repeated delay and later price increases.

Arrives

Does not print Cyan!

And requires as software reinstallation.

Try this.

Does not install.

Stuck.

Try product support. No support allowed. Warranty expired.

Very much unhappy and spending good money after bad HP exp.

To help troubleshoot this very annoying problem, here is the full history of the problem.

Today, after some weird printer connectivity issues, now resolved, I have a printer which is not fully functioning.

Right now, I have gone to the expense of replacing the print head with a brand new head. 

But this new head does not print Cyan.

 

History...

Happily printing.

Notice deterioration in Cyan.

Multiple alignment and cleaning routines does not fix it.

Relace full ink set. No change.

Expecting Cyan head is partially blocked, I buy a cleaner kit and use it several times.

No change to partial Cyan "blockage"

Decide to buy a new printer head.

After 4 notices of a failure to supply by HP, 4 months later it arrived. For a 30% price increase from the original order. I pay it.

Finally!

Install new printer head.

Cyan does not print at all.

Use HP Print Doctor diagnostics.

No errors!

 

Customer satisfaction level? Guess.

I'd be interested in some Service Recovery, HP that can help restore this particular unit to 100% condition.
