We connect wirelessly to this printer, and now every time I try to print, I get a message that the printer is in error mode. When I click on the pending files, it just states "error printing." When I troubleshoot the printer it says it can't identify the problem.

Does turning it off then on clear the error msg?

If you are running Windows give the HP print & scan doctor program a spin.

I've tried both and neither has helped. When I run the print and scan doctor, it just starts its process and then refreshes the screen. I click to run it again and it goes into the never ending Loop of just refreshing the screen. It never actually gives me any information.

If the warranty is still valid contact HP support.
