HP Laserject Pro MFP M183fw

For no reason at all, my HP Laserject Pro MFP M183fw has started to print only half a page of my documents.  I have the full complement of toner in.  I tried reloading the printer software, switching off and on but nothing works.

 

Can anyone please help.

To be able to assist you better, I'd like to know the following-

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Does the print p[review look good?
  • Are you able to make photocopies on the printer?
  • How is the printer connected to the computer?

Meanwhile, update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Thank you very much for your help.  I have since sent my new printer back to the supplier as I could not get help from anywhere.  I will reply to the questions anuhow:

 

 

Which application are you trying to print from?  WORD, ADOBE ACROBAT, Various data analysis programmes.
Does the print p[review look good?  YES.  I USED THE HP APP AND IT SAID PRINTER IS OK
Are you able to make photocopies on the printer?  PHOTOCOPIES AND SCANS COME OUT HALF A PAGE TOO
How is the printer connected to the computer?  BY USB CABLE

 

The printer is new, less than 1 year old.  I have not had any problems with it.  It just started printing half pages for no reason at all.  I never had any kind of error message.

This could be an issue with the printer ink system. Wait until you receive an update from the supplier.

 

Or, Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
