HP OfficeJet Pro 6978
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 is stuck.  Claims a paper jam, but no paper anywhere.  Tells me to power it off then on, and to contact HP if the error continues.  The error continues.  Code 0x6100004a

I understand the printer has a false error message and you are not able to use the printer.

 

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in these documents - A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays and Carriage jam or E3 error

 

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue.
