Product: HP 4100 Deskjet
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

HP Deskjet 4100 printer has started to malfunction.  Keeps showing error message indicating the wrong paper size.  I have indicated that the paper size is letter size but keeps stalling the printing process with the same error.  The printer will feed the paper halfway through the printer and then stops.  This started happening yesterday.  Have installed additional drivers and updated drivers on computer.

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.
