Hi, my printer won’t print anything. There’s a flashing orange light on the side and 0 and E keeps flashing on the display. Can anyone tell me what this means please?
The printer has paper and new ink has been inserted.

Hi @Chi101,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the flashing orange light and the "0 E" error code on your HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer usually indicate a specific issue that needs to be addressed.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot this problem:
Check for Paper Jams: Even though you mentioned there’s paper in the printer, double-check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the paper path. Sometimes a small piece of paper can cause an issue.
Verify Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and reinstall them, making sure they click into place.
Check Ink Cartridges: Verify that the ink cartridges are not empty or damaged. Sometimes, even new cartridges can have issues.
Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the issue persists.
Printer Reset: Perform a hard reset of the printer. This can often resolve error codes:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.
Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes updating the firmware can resolve issues.
Consult the Manual: Refer to the user manual for the specific error code. The manual might provide additional troubleshooting steps specific to the "0 E" error code.
