HP Ink Tank Wireless 415

So my printer went completely unresponsive overnight. No sound when restarting, showing offline and yes, i have power cycled all the devices more times than i can count. I have done scan Doctor and the other HP steps too.

When it switches on there are two Orange SOLID lights - next to the printhead icons, and next to the cancel button. Wifi light also solid blue, but as mentioned, its undectable on the LAN. Power light is off, and the screen is off too.

I am sure the printheads are in good condition, ink is present, and no jams. How the hell do I reset this thing ? If I cant get this to work then I am just moving on from HP. Hunk of junk.

Hi @DBSEH,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're dealing with a frustrating situation. The solid orange lights and the fact that the printer isn’t responsive suggest that there might be a hardware issue.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

Check Power Supply: Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the power outlet. Try plugging the printer into a different power outlet to rule out issues with the power source.

Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the Printer: Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet.
  • Wait: Leave the printer unplugged for at least 60 seconds to ensure that all residual power is discharged.
  • Reconnect: Plug the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet, then turn the printer back on.

Check for Physical Issues:

  • Ensure that there are no visible signs of damage to the printer or its components.
  • Check if the printhead is properly seated and that there are no obstructions.

Inspect LEDs:

  • The solid orange lights could indicate a specific error code. Refer to your printer’s manual for the meaning of these lights. Typically, the two orange lights together might indicate a critical issue, such as a hardware failure.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Some HP printers have a self-test or diagnostic mode that can be accessed via a combination of button presses. Unfortunately, with no screen or functional buttons, this might not be possible for your model.

Refer to this document:  HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
