Below is a scan of the test page I get with HPs Print and Scan Doctor.on my HP Deskjet F4280.
I have cleaned and aligned the heads several times with no change in results. The problem started when I replaced the black HP 300 ink cartridge with a new one. Prior to replacement, the printer was working fine until the black ink ran out. I have tried changing the new cartridge with another new one and again I get the same result.
It seems that it only the black which is misaligned with itself (ie against grey) resulting in a shadow for all black graphics Note that the printing of black text from eg Word or any text based pdf etc is fine. Printing graphics in red for example also works fine
Thanks for any help for how to solve this.
