Hi,
My printer is showing this message:
HP Instant Ink
Connect printer so replacement cartridge can be ordered.
[ Connect ] [ OK ]
When I click on Connect, I get the "Connecting" screen, then the printer shows
Updating the Printer
The printer is being updated. This process might take several minutes. Touch "OK" to continue printing.
Tip: You can check the HP Instant Ink status by touching <symbol> on the Home.
[ OK ]
This has been occurring for several days.
I can print to the printer, and I can access it through HP Smart.
I checked the firmware version in HP Smart and says "The printer is up to date".
I also checked the Web Services Settings in HP Smart - seems that things are ok.
Any ideas on how to clear this error, and to set the printer so it doesn't think it's in the middle of an update.
I already tried unplugging for a few mins, and plugging back in.
The only changes I applied a couple of months ago was changing my hp smart/connected/instantink email but I have noticed that printer owner is still set to my previous email address, but there appears no way to change the primary owner to my new email address?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's try to remove and add web services: To remove Web Services using the printer control panel 1. From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, touch ( HP ePrint ), and then touch (Web Services Settings). 2. Touch Remove Web Services.
Add web services: To set up Web Services using the printer control panel 1. From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ). 2. Touch Web Services Setup . 3. Touch Accept to accept the Web Services terms of use and enable Web Services. 4. On the screen that appears, touch OK to allow the printer to automatically check for product updates.
NOTE: If prompted for proxy settings and if your network uses proxy settings, follow the onscreen instructions to set up a proxy server. If you do not have the proxy details, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the network. 5. If the Printer Update Options screen is displayed, select one of the options. 6. When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page. Follow the instructions on the information page to finish the setup.
