hp 8715
Unknown

My new fresh out of the box 8715 printer is not printing the same as my old 8600.  Documents that used to print ok are now being chopped off at the top and bottom.  I appreciate that there is a non-printable area of 3.3 mm all round but what I am trying to print (a Word document with a header and footer) is within this so I think it should print.

Can anyone help - I've wasted hours on this.

Thanks

Sue

Hi Sue,

Please open and close the paper tray and evaluate the shown prompt.

Can you see the correct Paper Size and Type are set for your printer?

If you may see the paper size is incorrect, press No or Modify and change the paper settings.

On your computer, also make sure the correct paper size is selected within the Print dialog, else click Properties / Preferences and change it.

May you see any change?

Hi Shlomil

Thanks for your reply - I had seen something similar to this already though so have checked that it’s set to A4 throughout.

It has printed a photo to more like 3.3 mm from the edge - not sure if this gives any clues at all? It might be my document rather than the printer?

When I send it it says the margins are pretty small... but with the 8600 - it would still all still print.

Thanks

Sue
