Hi @P_S23,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP Printer is not responding and flashing an envelope symbol.

Kindly refer to the steps below and check:

Paper Mismatch (E1/E2 Error): The printer expects a certain size (like envelopes) but has another, or vice versa. Load the correct paper or adjust settings in the app/computer to match.

  • Wireless Connection Issue: The envelope flashes because the printer is not connected to the network. Restart your router and printer. You may need to reconnect via the HP Smart app.

  • Paper Jam or Door Open: Check for jammed paper, especially if a "droplet" icon is also flashing. Ensure the rear access door is securely closed.

  • Ink/Cartridge Issue: Sometimes paired with other lights, this indicates a cartridge is low, missing, or faulty.

Restart: Turn the printer off and back on.

Reset Wi-Fi: Hold the Wireless button for 3 seconds to re-establish the connection.

Clear Print Queue: Cancel all pending jobs on your computer.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
