HP OFFICEJET 8015E
The printer is not taking ink from the blue or yellow cartridges. No error message. These are new cartridges, same thing happened mid way through previous cartridges. We thought then that the ink was getting low but there us still an issue. Cartridges loaded correctly and printer heads have been cleaned. Tried resetting to factory setting today which didn’t make any difference.
Navy blue comes out as brown/purple and grey comes out as peach/pink .
Does anyone have any ideas how to correct this please?? Thanks.

Hi @Mark7161,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem with your HP OfficeJet 8015e.
- Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure the cartridges are properly installed and seated in their correct slots. Sometimes, even new cartridges can be misaligned.
- Clean the Printhead: You've mentioned cleaning the printer heads, but it might be worth repeating the process or using the printer's built-in cleaning utility. For the HP OfficeJet 8015e, you can usually find this option in the printer settings menu.
- Perform a Printhead Alignment: Go to the printer’s settings menu and look for an option to align the printhead. This can sometimes resolve color issues.
- Run a Printer Diagnostic: Many HP printers have built-in diagnostic tools. You might find this in the HP Smart app or on the printer's control panel.
- Check Ink Levels and Cartridge Expiry: Even though the cartridges are new, verify their ink levels and expiration dates. Sometimes, cartridges might be faulty or expired.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. HP often releases updates that fix bugs and improve printer performance.
- Print a Test Page: This can help you determine if the issue is with the cartridges or the printer itself. If the test page shows incorrect colors, it's likely a hardware issue.
- Use Genuine Cartridges: Ensure you're using genuine HP cartridges. Third-party or refilled cartridges can sometimes cause color issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
