Hi @Daveilm62,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is printing blank pages after a recent Windows update, this could be due to a compatibility issue or a driver conflict. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer, whether through USB or Wi-Fi.
- Restart both the printer and the computer.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Go to Device Manager and check for any issues with the printer driver.
- Visit HP’s website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model. Installing the latest driver may resolve any issues caused by the Windows update.
Check Print Settings:
- Make sure the correct printer is set as the default in Printers & Scanners settings on Windows.
- Ensure that print settings (such as paper size and print quality) are properly configured.
Run the Printer Troubleshooter:
- Open Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Printer and run the troubleshooter to detect and resolve issues automatically.
Clear the Print Queue:
- If there are any stuck print jobs in the queue, clear them by going to Devices and Printers > Right-click on your printer > See what's printing > Cancel all documents.
Check Ink/Toner Levels:
- If your printer uses ink or toner, check the levels to ensure they aren't empty or clogged.
- Run any built-in cleaning utilities from the printer’s control panel or software.
Uninstall the Windows Update (if issue persists):
- If the issue started right after a Windows update, you can try uninstalling the update temporarily:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > View Update History > Uninstall Updates.
- Find the update that was recently installed and uninstall it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
