I have changed the black ink cartridge in my printer twice and I still get the message "there is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on, if problem persists, contact HP." I have followed the instructions to lift the printer head and that still doesn't work. Is my printer just dead? how do I contact HP and talk to a real person?

@Sadie18, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
To assist you better, what model printer are you using?
Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.
Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - An 'Ink System Failure' or 'System Supply Problem' Error Displays
You may also try the steps here - Printhead errors
Make sure you are using HP ink cartridges. Insert one ink cartridge at a time and check for the error.
Use the old ink cartridges and check if the error persists.
If the error persists, I'm afraid the issue is with the printhead.
If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer if under warranty.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
