Printer paper not feeding

I've had this printer for a long time.  It has never failed me but just this past week it refuses to print, telling me it's out of paper, when clearly there is paper in there.  I adjust the paper over and over and it still won't print.  All of a sudden it decides to print.  Why is it doing this?  I found references in this forum to articles to check out but they were so long ago none of the articles came up.

I also found reference to cleaning it - rollers I suspect,  how do I do that?

I wanted to stop in to help with the "out of paper" error message you're seeing on your Officejet 6700. See this link here to troubleshoot that error. If you find the error continues, call HP phone support to discuss replacing the printer. Their contact info is below.

Hit the "Accept as Solution" if we've reached a solution, and the "thumbs up" to say thanks for my help.

Contact HP:
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear

Ok, after 3 tries to get all the rollers cleaned, I finally have the paper feeding the way it's suppose to.  As I said, I have had this printer for years and never had a problem.

HOWEVER, I didn't use the print on both sides option until recently.  Now, I'm assuming, that is why the rollers are all of a sudden dirty.

Thanks for the input but the youtube was the most help.  Visual. 🙂
