Just replaced old Envy 6200 with newer model because old printed repeated unwanted copies and kept throwing up cancel printer/try again messages. Just install new Envy 6022e, installed HP Smart app on iPhone and the new one is doing exactly the same. We only use iPads and iPhones so no use giving me a windows solution. Very frustrating because up to a couple of weeks ago I would recommend HP and the subscription to anyone- now, probably not.
any solution for this?

Hi @Abbey28,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be an issue with the print settings or how the print jobs are being sent from your iOS devices. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Check Printer Settings on iOS Device
Ensure Software is Updated:
- Make sure your iPhone and iPad are running the latest version of iOS.
- Ensure the HP Smart app is updated to the latest version from the App Store.
Check Printer Settings in HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Select your printer and navigate to settings.
- Ensure that the print settings (like the number of copies) are correctly set.
Clear Print Queue:
- Open the print queue on your iPhone or iPad.
- Cancel all pending print jobs to clear any stuck or duplicate jobs.
Reset Printing System
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off your HP Envy 6022e printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Restart iOS Devices:
- Restart your iPhone and iPad.
Remove and Re-add Printer
Remove the Printer:
- Open the HP Smart app and remove the printer from your devices.
Re-add the Printer:
- Re-add the HP Envy 6022e printer to the HP Smart app.
- Ensure it is correctly connected to your WiFi network.
Check AirPrint Settings
- AirPrint:
- Go to the document or photo you want to print.
- Select the share icon and choose 'Print'.
- Ensure you select the correct printer and check that the number of copies is set to 1.
Factory Reset the Printer
- Factory Reset:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to settings.
- Look for 'Restore Factory Defaults' or 'Reset Settings' and perform the reset.
- Follow the instructions to set up the printer again from scratch.
Test Printing
- Test with Different Documents:
- Try printing different types of documents (text, photos) to see if the issue persists.
- Check if the issue happens with all types of documents or specific ones.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
