M254dw colour laser jet - windows 10(64bit) - Laser jet prints far to light - cannot even read it - toners are new ones - all with about 92% - have tried everything I know but will not print properly. Called HP and was transferred from phone to phone and then got my call terminated.
Does anybody know of a fix for this either by software or hardware - or what to do just to improove the print quality. Having spent alot of money on toners - seems a waste to chuck it in bin.

Did this issue start as soon as you changed cartridges or after a while? Is the environment clean that the printer is located in, as dirt on the laser lens can reduce image clarity. Another large power draw item like a space heater can also reduce image quality. How do prints look when you print from the control panel such as the supplies status page.

Hi - thanks for swift reply - the light print issue started....there was about 25% of black and much higher for colour.
A complete new set of toners were inserted - and there was no change....!!....I have tried a colour print from the control panel
of it looks like a smiley face...the black is like light grey and the only colour which is visible...just visible is a very light yellow...
but you have too look hard. As for the enviroment its a home office - used 2 hrs a day....the printer is about 600mm away from a radiator...the room is very clean and remains cool due to north facing. I have tried most software options local and from pc and nothing changes. Apart from taking the toners out and shaking them have not looked at any other hardware option....its just out of warranty......so just over a year...is cleaning the lens a function I can do......as I had very little help from HP....they dont seem to ant to know........but I am happy to have it repaired...as must have close to £400 worth of printer and toners...so why should I bin it.....?.........If HP read this....this my third laser jet..over the many years....never again will I buy HP....there service level is a disgrace..!!...
