Thank you for your reply.

I'm afraid those cartridges are not supported by the printer. Your HP Photosmart C4585 uses the HP 74 Black Original Ink Cartridge (CB335WN) and HP 75 Tri-color Original Ink Cartridge (CB337WN).

What is the model number of the cartridges you tried to installed? :smileyindifferent:

They are HP350 and HP351 and was already using them and it suddenly decided not to print and gave me the error message. Have tried taking them both out and putting back but no luck.

Thank you very much for your help. I have had this printer for several years and have always used the HP350 and 351 and this is the first time I've had this problem. Maybe I have been lucky. Anyway as I said thankyou very much for your help.

After looking at the HP problem page I realise what has happened with the different printer colours. When I logged into the forum site was asked two questions. One was the language (English) and then Country and was only given five choices which were all in the Caribbean and just decided on the Bahamas. As I live in the UK the HP350 and 351 was the correct printer inks but in the Bahamas the colours are as you told me HP74 and 75. Problem solved.
