My HP Laser Jet M207-M212 flashes purple. I have not been able to solve the problem.  I cannot contact Hp and their chat bot is useless.  Any help out there?

Hi @GoulaToo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that your HP LaserJet M207–M212 series printer is showing a flashing/pulsing purple light, and you have been unable to resolve the issue.

On this printer series, a pulsing purple status bar normally indicates that the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode.

Please try the following:

Make sure the printer is turned on and the purple light is pulsing.

Open the HP Smart app on your computer or phone.

Select Add Printer and follow the prompts to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

If the Information (i) button is blinking, press it to continue the wireless setup.

If the printer fails to connect, put it back into Wireless Setup Mode, wait 30–45 seconds, and then try adding it again through HP Smart.

If the purple light is flashing rapidly and then changes to amber, the WPS connection attempt may have timed out. In that case, press Cancel and try the wireless setup again.

If you are still unable to connect, please provide the exact M207–M212 model (for example, M207d, M209dw, M209dwe, etc.) and let us know whether the purple light is pulsing slowly or flashing rapidly. This will help us determine the correct next step.

Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
