HP LaserJet P2015dn printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I cannot get my HP Laserjet P2015dn to print. It stops functioning when I push 'properties'. Nothing happens then a window shows: Function address 0x00007FF80A8E6402 caused a protection fault. (exception code0xc0000005) Some or all property page(s) may not be displayed.' How to get it working please?

By way of background... 1. The problem arose 3 days ago when, for IT reasons, I switched from network to my PC then back again, downloading and installing a driver to facilitate this - now, the printer is again connected to the router. 2. I've tried scan doctor a few times but it 'can't find the printer'. 3. At the risk of unnecessary complication, I see 2 printers in control panel / devices and printers -  'HP Laserjet P2015dnSerfies UPD PCL 6' (faint) and HP 'Universal Printing HCL 6 (Copy 1)' - clear, with a green tick.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the printer driver

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the driver Link: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL40842/ds-99374-23/upd-pcl6-x64-7.0.0.24832.exe and follow the onscreen instructions
