The rollers on my HP Photosmart 6520 e All-In-One printer will not pull the paper through to print. I have carefully cleaned all of the rollers yet still no printing.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and I would like to help

Do you face the same issue when making photocopies?

Let's start with a printer reset

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.
(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed

Then update the Firmware from this Link: https://www.support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-photosmart-6520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/...

If the issue persists, try cleaning the rollers again. Please refer to Solution Four in this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-photosmart-6520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5169038/document...

Keep me posted how it goes

Hi KrazyToad,

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation on one possible method to solve the issue I've been experiencing with my printer. I worked through the steps you'd outlined but, unfortunately. the matter has not been resolved. This printer is long past the warranty period. I did contact HP Support by phone to inquire about possible repair locations in the US. I was advised that there are no printer repair locations in the US and that, most often, in these circumstances, printers are recycled as they no longer work. Darn.

Thanks again.

If the Printer is out of warranty you can still get an upgrade for it if there are no repair options

You can contact our Phone Support and they will let you know more about the upgrade options

Thank you
