Hi @NannieBabs,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY 5032 All-In-One Printer is displaying an "ink problem" error message even though both ink cartridges have ink and you've already removed and reinserted them, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Ink Levels: Make sure that the ink cartridges have enough ink to print. You can check the ink levels from the printer's control panel or through the HP printer software on your computer. Replace any empty or low ink cartridges if necessary.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Remove the ink cartridges.
  • Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridges.
  • Also, clean the contacts inside the printer where the cartridges make contact.
  • Allow everything to dry completely.
  • Reinstall the cartridges and plug the printer back in.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Check if the error message has disappeared.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes printer driver issues can cause problems. Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download them from the HP website.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Many HP printers have a self-test or diagnostic feature that can help identify and resolve issues. Check your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a self-test.

Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults:

  • As a last resort, you can reset the printer to its factory default settings. This should be done carefully as it will erase all customized settings.
  • Consult your printer's user manual or the HP website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
