Got an error message saying I was using cloned printer cartridges. Replaced with HP 962XL Black and 962 Cyan, Blue, and Red yesterday purchased from Meijer, Inc in Gaylord, MI. Started printing yesterday multiple files without issue. Now today the printer says I'm still using unauthorized print cartridges and refuses to print additional copies.

Hi @Montuy13,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 is having trouble recognizing the new HP 962XL cartridges. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure the cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and reinsert them, making sure they click into place securely.
Clean Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridges and use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently clean the contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.
Reset the Printer:
- With the printer turned on, unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or the printer’s settings menu.
Check Cartridge Compatibility:
- Ensure that the cartridges you purchased are genuine HP cartridges and compatible with your printer model. Sometimes, even genuine cartridges may have issues if they are damaged or expired.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
