I am facing problem with my HP ink tank printer. Sometimes it doesn’t print and says the printer is out of paper, even though printer has lots of paper. Then after restarting it 2-3 times it prints in very light shade. What should i do to get rid of this problem?

Hi @Gill04,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 printer is displaying an "out of paper" error message, there are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue.
- Check paper tray: Make sure the paper tray is loaded with the correct type and size of paper. Ensure that the stack of paper is not too thick or too thin and that it fits properly within the paper tray guides.
- Reload the paper: Remove the stack of paper from the tray and then reinsert it, making sure it is aligned properly. Ensure that the paper is not wrinkled or damaged.
- Paper sensor: Locate the paper sensor in the paper tray area. It is usually a small lever or sensor that detects the presence of paper. Check if it is obstructed or stuck in the up position. Gently move it up and down to ensure it moves freely.
- Printer settings: Verify that the paper settings on your computer or the printer's control panel match the type and size of the loaded paper. Incorrect settings can cause the printer to report an out-of-paper error.
- Clean the paper feed rollers: Over time, paper dust and debris can accumulate on the paper feed rollers, causing them to slip and not pick up paper properly. Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water to clean the rollers. Allow them to dry completely before loading paper.
- Restart the printer: Power off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the error message persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
