Hi @Nana-13 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY 6055e All-In-One Printer is showing as "busy" but there's nothing in the print queue, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Restart the Printer:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove the USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Restart Your Computer or Device: If you're trying to print from a computer or mobile device, try restarting it as well. This can help refresh the connection between your device and the printer.
Check Connectivity: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer or network. If it's a wireless printer, make sure it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the signal is strong.
Update Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause various issues. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your HP ENVY 6055e printer. Software and Drivers for HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer
Clear Print Spooler: Even if there's nothing in the print queue, there might be lingering print jobs stuck in the spooler. Clearing the print spooler can help resolve this issue. Here's how to do it:
- Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
- Type "services.msc" (without quotes) and press Enter.
- In the Services window, scroll down and find the "Print Spooler" service.
- Right-click on "Print Spooler" and select "Stop" from the context menu.
- Once the service stops, navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS.
- Delete all the files in the PRINTERS folder.
- Go back to the Services window, right-click on "Print Spooler" again, and select "Start" from the context menu.
- Try printing again to see if the issue is resolved.
Check for Paper Jams or Hardware Issues: Open the printer cover and check for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the printer to show as busy. HP DeskJet, ENVY 6000, 6400 printers - E4 (Paper jam) error
Reset the Printer: As a last resort, you can try resetting your HP ENVY 6055e printer to its factory defaults. Refer to your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to perform a reset.

I hope this helps.
