Hi,
My HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw was installed and it was working fine until I changed my router.
HP Smart App is now showing a setup incomplete error. An orange exclamation mark and a white Information button are blinking at the same time.
On www.hpsmart.com/us/en/ucde/my-printers page, it shows that the printer is Disconnected from Internet, while this is not the case. The printer is connected to the new router and has its own IP and internet access.
I already tried removing the printer from Windows 11, reinstalling the HP Smart app, and using Diagnose & Fix option, but the error persists.
How exactly am I supposed to fix this issue?
Thx in advance for your assistance.

M243sdw or M234sdwe ?
If you know the printer's IP address open the web browser and enter printer IP to access the printer setting, under the Service tab you have the Restore printer to factory defaults option, if asked for a username/password leave the user blank and for a password use PIN that is located on the label inside toner access door.
After successfully restoring the printer will disconnect from Wi-Fi use your HP Smart app ( I recommend using a smartphone, not a computer) to set the printer again like you just bought it.

HP LaserJet MFP M234sdwe 6GX01E is the full printer name.
Before doing a factory reset, do I have to remove the printer from https://www.hpsmart.com/us/en/ucde/my-printers?
Do I have to use Wifi, my printer is currently connected via ethernet.
The initial setup was done via a PC running Windows 11, but I can install the HP Smart app on my Android phone if this is really required.

Using ethernet or wi-fi no difference, the wireless needs few more steps, you can remove or hide old printer from HP smart, WIN11 is fine to use for setup, internet connection for printer and HP account is mandatory to complete the setup. If you will have issues with the setup then you can download HP smart to smartdevice and try.

Thx for your assistance, at the end, I was able to set up my printer.
1st I use the following printer function to reset my printer to factory defaults.
But, when I tried to use HP Smart App from Microsoft Store or Google Play Store I ended up with the same error: Printer setup incomplete
So, I uninstall that app, remove the printer and driver from Windows 11, and downloaded HPEasyStart_15_9_11.exe.
With that package, I was able to set up my printer.
