My HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw makes kind of a high screaming or howling sound (don't know the correct word for it in english) when printing. Why and what is to do? The printing quality is ok, just the sound that is quite terrible.

There are a number of possible causes including a bad cartridge, worn fuser drive, a scanner motor that is failing. You pretty much need to try to determine exactly where the noise is coming from. If you recently replaced any cartridges that would be the first place to check, especially if you have refilled or 3rd party cartridges. Can you post a video of the noise?

Thanks for your reply.
I have not recently replaced any cartridges, and I always use original HP cartridges.
The sound is very frequent, however not exactly the same level all of the time and, of course, now when I tried to get a video it was just a very mild sound, and only at the end of each printing. Perhaps I can try again tomorrow, but I will also try to explain a bit more in words:
This time I printed 2-3 papers, and it was like this sound occured clearly only the last 5-6 turns of the pressure roller (or what I should call it), however pretty mildly, but otherwise most of the time it quite loud. This time the sound so to say followed the rollers turns (it went a bit on and off during the turns), but often it is a continous howling sound while printing several pages. I dont know if this explanation gives you any hint or if it just is confusing... 🙂
