Hi @Heidi2424 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-In-One Printer is stuck on the "validating" process after you've loaded new cartridges, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that the cartridges are installed correctly. Make sure they are securely inserted into their respective slots.
- Remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure proper contact.
Printer Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 1-2 minutes to allow the printer to reset.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Firmware Update:
- Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website.
- If an update is available, download and install it following the provided instructions.
Check for Obstructions:
- Ensure that there are no obstructions or debris inside the printer that may be preventing proper cartridge recognition.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer.
- Remove the cartridges.
- Wipe the electrical contacts of the cartridges with a lint-free cloth.
- Wipe the contacts inside the printer where the cartridges make contact.
- Reinsert the cartridges and turn on the printer.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect any USB cables or Ethernet cables.
- Remove the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
- Reconnect the power cord.
- Turn on the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
