OfficeJet 3830
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Officejet 3830 connected to Windows 10 64-bit computer, wireless connection. Worked fine two days ago, and nothing I know of has changed about the printer or my computer. Nonetheless, yesterday the printer began to print only monochrome. I tried changing the setting to color on the print jobs, and got a message telling me that the setting was changed back to Monochrome due to a conflict with another printer setting. I have an identical printer in another room, connected wirelessly to the same computer--all the settings I can find look the same for both printers, but the printer in the other room accepts the Color setting without complaint and prints normally. I downloaded and reinstalled the printer drivers but this did not change anything. Also replaced both ink cartridges with brand new ones, still no joy. Any suggestions?
